Steak Marinade
Came across this recipe while making steaks for a get together out of the blue and turned out to be a hit. First put the Montreal steak seasoning, rosemary into a bowl then add the red wine into the bowl. Use a whisk to mix the ingredients and wine in the bowl, poke the steak(s) with a fork on both sides to allow the marinade to seep into the meat better. Once you have mixed the marinade and have poked the steak(s) on both sides you can now add the steak(s) to the marinade. Place into the fridge and allow to marinade for about 3-5 hours while turning the steaks(s) after a couple hours. As you let the steaks sit and marinade you can now prepare a side of your own preference. Cooking these steaks is best done over open fire on low heat to thoroughly cook the steaks from the inside without burning the exterior of the meat. Leaving the inside at a medium to medium rare and a browned exterior will provide you with the best flavor and juiciness of the steak. You are now ready to enjoy your delicious meal.
Ingredients
- 1 Cup red wine
- 2 to 3 Sprays rosemary
- 2 to 3 sprays Montreal steak seasoning
- 2 to 3 steaks
How to make it
- Get ingredients ready
- Put all of the ingredients into a bowl
- Use for a fork to poke both sides of the steak to allow faster marinade process
- Refrigerate for about 3-5 hours turn the steak(s) after a couple hours to make sure the meat is fully marinated.
- Take this time to prepare your sides
- Cook the steaks to the preference that you like and discard the marinade
- Enjoy!
Dry Rub Steak Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 2 ½ tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon crushed cayenne pepper
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon cumin
Instructions
- Mix all the ingredients together making sure the mixture has no clumps in it
- Using your fingers sprinkle the mixed ingredients onto the steak then rub it on to the steak. Make sure this is done on both sides of the steak.
- When finished with rubbing the mixed spiced on both side of the steak, rap the steak in a plastic wrap and place in refrigerator for approximately 6 hours.
When ready to cook take the steaks out and allow to sit for approximately 20-30 minutes before cooking on the grill or pan.
Beef Jerky Recipe
Ingredients
- ¾ cup Worcestershire sauce
- ¾ cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 pounds steaks, thinly sliced
Instructions
- Whisk all the ingredients together thoroughly in a bowl.
- Add the thinly sliced meat into bowl and turn to coat completely. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and marinate in the refrigerator for 3 hours to overnight.
- When ready to cook the beef, preheat the oven to 175 degrees F. line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack over the foil
- Transfer the beef to paper towels to dry. Arrange beef slices in a single layer on the prepared wire rack on the baking sheet. Then Discard the remaining marinade.
- Bake beef in the preheated oven until dry and leathery for 3 to 4 hours.
- Once the beef jerky is finished cooking, Cut with scissors into bite-size pieces.
